Lenses are protected by 2 coatings: Ri-pel up front is a permanent protective hydrophobic coating that sheds water and contaminants for clear vision; AR5 is a Zeiss treatment that adheres an anti-reflective 5-layer coating to the back of each lens, reducing reflected glare and eliminating ghost images. Wraparound plastic frames with thick temples fit snugly and block light at the sides. Embedded nose pads help ensure a more comfortable fit.
